Who handles your information?

Gold Coast Homes and Investments Ltd operates forsaleghana.com and is responsible for handling property enquiries received through it. Contact us at 34 Orange St, Adenta, Accra, Ghana, +233 26 687 8632 or dataprotection@goldcoastgh.com.

Information you provide

A property request asks for your name, contact number, role, transaction, property type, preferred areas, budget, currency and timing. Email, bedroom needs and additional criteria are optional. Required fields help us identify your enquiry and search requirements; without them we may be unable to assist. Avoid including identity documents, account details or private information about other people.

How the form works

The form prepares a message in your browser. It does not upload your entries to a website database or store them in browser storage. Choose the WhatsApp link and send the message to complete your request. Opening the link alone does not submit it. Your message is then handled by Gold Coast Homes and WhatsApp under their respective practices. Information included in the WhatsApp link is passed to WhatsApp when you open it and may be recorded in your browser history.

Why we use information

We use enquiry details to respond, understand requirements, identify relevant properties, coordinate viewings and follow up on your requested service. We may also use necessary records for a separately agreed engagement, legal obligations and resolving complaints. We do not treat a property enquiry as permission for unrelated marketing.

Public request summaries

Publication permission is optional and separate from contacting us. If you select it, Gold Coast Homes may publish an anonymous summary of your property criteria. Your name, phone number, email and client identity are excluded. Public summaries can be seen and copied by other visitors. You can ask us to amend or remove your summary.

Private enquiry register

Authorised Gold Coast Homes staff record enquiries in a restricted Google Sheets register. It holds contact details, consent dates and evidence, agreed service fees and request status. The public website receives only approved property criteria. Contact details, consent evidence, commission rates and staff notes are excluded.

A request is published only after contact and publication permission, agreement to the applicable service fee or commission, and staff review are recorded. Sending a WhatsApp enquiry alone does not record those approvals. Tell Gold Coast Homes if you wish to withdraw consent or your request. Website request updates run daily at 3:30 pm Ghana time, so public removal may take until the next daily update.

Sharing and external services

Relevant staff handle enquiries. Where necessary to progress your request, appropriate property criteria may be discussed with owners, agents or professional advisers. Personal information should be shared only as needed for your request, with your authorisation where required, or where law requires it. Google Sheets, WhatsApp and the website host may process technical data, including IP addresses, device information and service logs, and may process data outside Ghana under their own policies. Maps and other external sites are accessed only when you follow their links.

Cookies and browser storage

Optional measurement is off until you choose to allow it. Advertising measurement uses the Gold Coast Homes Meta Pixel to measure page views, property-detail views, browsing/filter activity, request starts, prepared messages and clicks to WhatsApp, phone or email. Meta may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, page address and its advertising identifiers, and may associate activity with your Meta account for measurement and personalised advertising. Our configured event payloads exclude names, phone numbers, email addresses, request text, budget amounts and private commission terms. Automatic form-field collection is disabled in our Pixel configuration. We count a WhatsApp click as a handoff, not a confirmed enquiry or completed deal.

Your privacy choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. If you allow measurement, a session record of recognised campaign/source identifiers is retained for up to 30 minutes of inactivity and can be included in the WhatsApp message you review. A random website enquiry reference helps staff reconcile the enquiry; it is not sent in our analytics events. You can reject optional tracking or change your choice at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Withdrawal stops future measurement on this browser; it does not erase information already received by a provider. The website works without optional measurement.

With your separate permission, Google Analytics measures visits, traffic sources, property interest and the steps leading to an enquiry. It uses browser identifiers and technical device information. Our configuration disables automatic form, search-text and outbound-link collection, excludes personal form contents, and does not enable Google advertising personalisation or Google Signals. Analytics event-level data is retained for two months in this property; aggregate reports may remain available longer. See Google’s privacy policy. The website host and external services maintain their own technical records under their respective notices. See Meta’s privacy policy.

Retention and security

Enquiry records should be retained only as long as needed to assist you, support an agreed service, meet applicable obligations or resolve a dispute. WhatsApp conversations and transaction records have separate handling needs. Ask us about a specific record or request removal. Access should be limited to those who need it. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may request information about processing, access to your personal data and correction of inaccurate data; withdraw consent; object to applicable processing; and complain about how your data is handled. You may ask for deletion, subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements. Contact dataprotection@goldcoastgh.com. We may ask for proportionate evidence of identity before releasing or changing personal records.

Complaints

You may raise a concern with Gold Coast Homes or contact Ghana’s Data Protection Commission, including through info@dpc.gov.gh.

Updates

Changes to this notice will appear here with a revised effective date. For questions, see Contact us.

Confirmed property requests

Submitting the request form saves your details in a private first-party request store for Gold Coast Homes to review and contact you. It does not automatically publish your request or agree a fee. If you permit analytics or advertising measurement, a confirmed save sends only the buy/rent category as a lead event. WhatsApp continuation is optional and measured separately.
